CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR FEASIBILITY STUDIES AND PROJECT ENGINEERING FOR TRANSMISSION LINES AND SUBSTATIONS, ASSIGNMENT II
The studies for expansion of the Kenyan High Voltage Grid shall provide relevant input for the constructing of the following additional transmission lines and related substations:
- New 220 kV transmission line from Kisumu through Kakamega to Musaga (72 km) and related substations,
- New 132 kV transmission line from Webuye through Kimilili to Kitale (73 km) and related substations,
- New 132 kV transmission line from Kakamega to Kaimosi (25 km) and related substations,
- New 132 kV transmission line from Sotik to Kilgoris (48 km) and related substations.

Main scope of services:
- Preparation of analysis of the technical features of the national transmission grid, circuit diagrams, latest load flow diagrams;
- Preparation of network studies (load flow, short circuit etc.) and market studies for planned grid extensions;
- Support in the preparation of technical specifications and bidding documents for selected packages.
