COLENCO Participates in the European Heat & Power Summit 2026 in Brussels!
COLENCO representatives participated in the European Heat & Power Summit, held on 3–4 November 2026 in Brussels. The event brought together industry experts and stakeholders to discuss the future of sustainable district heating and cooling in Europe.
Panel discussions and knowledge exchanges focused on key pathways to decarbonisation, including waste heat recovery, electrification through heat pumps, and the integration of renewable energy sources such as geothermal energy, solar energy and biomass.
With approximately 19,000 district heating systems across the European Union, discussions highlighted an ambitious vision for 2050: increasing district heating capacity by 300% through the expansion of existing systems and the development of new networks, with the aim of reaching 50% of consumers.
This transformation presents significant opportunities for investment, technological innovation and infrastructure development. It also underscores the importance of coordinated planning and engineering expertise in delivering efficient, reliable and fully decarbonised heating networks.
