The main objective of this assignment is to provide detailed information for further development of new interconnection project. The Consultant shall provide sufficient analysis and information that would give clear guidance on how to proceed with the procurement of services/goods for the new interconnection.

The interconnection understands two overhead transmission lines: OHL of 155 km between Banja Luka and Lika and OHL 215 km between Brinje and Konjsko.

Main scope of services:

  • Revision of previous studies for this project, other regional studies, load flow data and other current project documentation;
  • Development of system and market studies, preliminary technical, financial / economic and environmental / social aspects of the project and spatial options available for transmission lines;
  • Development of a number of different topology scenarios for the specific line routing based on the system analysis and the determined technical and spatial parameters; a
  • Undertake discussions with the TSOs and Elektroprenos BiH, their line Ministries and Regulatory Agencies in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, project affected populations, civil society organizations and where necessary regional and European bodies (ENTSO-E, ECSEE, ECS) in order to gain full stakeholder engagement with this transmission system development project;
  • Preparation of Procurement plan and support in work on all deliverables;
  • Contract signing.
