Final Presentation of the “Kosovo: KOSTT – Transmission Grid Strengthening Project – Feasibility Study and Technical Due Diligence for Network Renewal and Procurement of Grid Transformers” by COLENCO at KOSTT Premises
On 18 May 2025, the final presentation of the project “Kosovo: KOSTT – Transmission Grid Strengthening Project – Feasibility Study and Technical Due Diligence for Network Renewal and Procurement of Grid Transformers”, financed by EBRD was successfully held at the premises of KOSTT in Prishtina.
The event brought together representatives of KOSTT, EBRD and Colenco to mark the successful completion of the assignment and to present the key findings and recommendations developed during the study.
During the presentation, the Consultant introduced the main outcomes of the feasibility study and technical due diligence activities related to the renewal of the transmission network and the procurement of grid transformers. The presentation included an overview of the existing network conditions, identified technical challenges and investment priorities, assessment of transformer requirements, analysis of future transmission system needs, and recommendations aimed at strengthening the reliability, operational security, and long-term resilience of Kosovo’s transmission grid. Particular attention was also given to supporting future network modernization and facilitating the integration of renewable energy sources into the system.
The successful implementation of the project reflects the excellent cooperation between KOSTT, EBRD, and COLENCO throughout the entire assignment. Through continuous coordination, professionalism, and mutual commitment, all parties contributed to achieving a successful and high-quality outcome.
