The main objective of the assignment was to explore and acquire basic data and information necessary to develop the conceptual design for:

  1. Abuja power plant substation and grid interconnection and
  2. Evacuation of power through transmission line and connection to the National grid.

Main scope of services:

  • Revalidation and advise on the most appropriate tie-in location at the grid to enable smooth evacuation of generated power from the power plant;
  • Review of the survey and confirmation or recommendation of options for the transmission line integration route and associated substations upgrade;
  • Preparation of preliminary design for the transmission line integration works and the associated substations switchgear upgrade;
  • Preparation of tentative bill of quantities for the power plant, balance of plant, transmission line and the substations;
  • Preparation of network analysis.
