CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR PREPARATION OF FEASIBILITY STUDY WITH PRELIMINARY DESIGN FOR DEVELOPMENT OF GRID CONNECTED UTILITY SCALE 85MW PHOTOVOLTAIC POWER PLANT IN NORTH MACEDONIA

DESKTOP PRE-FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR WIND POWER ESTIMATION FOR 150 MW WIND POWER PARK CONNECTED TO 110 KV TRANSMISSION NETWORK

The overall objective of this contract was to prepare the feasibility study with the preliminary design for the Solar Plant, including the provision of all relevant services and documentation necessary for the delivery of the feasibility study and the preliminary design

Main scope of services:

Inception phase

  • Site locations assessment with solar resource and energy yield calculation/estimation, including infrastructure characteristics, topography, grid connection requirements etc.,
  • Description of the proposed site location,
  • Overview of actual PV module technologies, inverters, tracking and energy storage
    technologies,
  • Determination of the optimal plant configuration,
  • Analysis/determination of the technical, environmental, financial, and commercial feasibility of the Solar Plant construction,
  • Provision of necessary information to the Client for entering to the permitting procedures,

Feasibility Study with Preliminary Design:

  • Overview of market trends and potential, focused on the utility scale PV plant technologies,
  • Solar Resource Assessment (SRA) for the emplacement of the Project’s location and performance of energy yield assessments,
  • Assessment of site characteristics, flooding risks, land, access, and of the infrastructure,-
  • Solar plant configuration;
  • Solar plant operating and maintenance strategy;
  • Grid connection and integration;
  • Permitting, with reference to the environmental and social part;
  • Preliminary social and environmental impact analysis;
  • Preliminary design; Final Presentation of the prepared documentation.
  • Provision of necessary information for financial institutions to undertake a complete appraisal of the project.
  • Provision of necessary information for the preparation of Request-for-Tender documentation for the Solar Plant engineering, procurement and construction (“EPC”) contractor and basis for the preparation of the Solar Plant final design.
