Colenco Ltd. with new Contract for Consulting Services for Feasibility Study for new High-Efficiency Heat Power Generation Facilities for Termoelectrica S.A. Chisinau, Moldova

Mr. Nikola Bitrak, general manager of Colenco Ltd. together with Mr. Ruslan Surugiu director of the Consolidated Unit for the Implementation and Monitoring of Projects in the Energy Field (UCIPE), and the director of Termoelectrica, Iurie Razlovan signed the Contract for Consulting Services for Feasibility Study for new High-Efficiency Heat Power Generation Facilities for Termoelectrica S.A. Chisinau, Moldova on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 .

The solutions for the development and diversification of thermal and electrical energy production sources, including from the perspective of the modernization of the CETs within Termoelectrica SA (100% state capital) are to be identified in a feasibility study.

The document is part of the second Project to improve the efficiency of the centralized thermal energy supply system (PIESACET-2), financed by the World Bank.
The company that will develop the study (Joint Venture COLENCO Ltd. Skopje (North Macedonia) and Urban Technology Alliance (Great Britain) was selected in an international tender procedure, and on Tuesday, February 6, the first information visit took place and on-site documentation.

During the meeting, the director of the Consolidated Unit for the Implementation and Monitoring of Projects in the Energy Field (UCIPE), Ruslan Surugiu, mentioned the importance of the feasibility study in identifying and establishing the director’s lines in the medium and long term, for the development of internal thermal energy production capacities and electrical within Termoelectrica S.A.: “At the same time, it represents the next step for the preparation of important investments to modernize the energy infrastructure of the country”.
