Young Energy Europe Event Highlights Opportunities for Developing Green Business Projects
AHK North Macedonia successfully hosted a dedicated Young Energy Europe event at Europe House, bringing together institutions, consultants, financial experts, companies, and young professionals to discuss opportunities for implementing green and energy-efficient business projects.
The event opened with remarks from Antje Wandelt, Delegate of German Industry and Commerce in North Macedonia, and Jan-Axel Voss, Deputy Head of Mission at the German Embassy in Skopje. Participants were then introduced to the results of previous Young Energy Europe generations by Hannah Löchte from DIHK Service GmbH Berlin, followed by an overview of the third generation of the programme presented by Marija Tomova Spirkoski from AHK North Macedonia.
A central part of the event was the Focus Block on financing green projects, featuring expert presentations from Steffen Hudolin (Head of Operations at the EU Delegation in North Macedonia), Nikola Bitrak (CEO of Colenco), Robert Sharlamanov (KfW), Lovre Ristevski (Solo Company) and Nikola Neshkovski (Eko Logik). Speakers outlined EU funding programmes, financial instruments, and consultancy support available to companies, providing practical guidance on how green ideas can develop into fully implemented business projects. The event concluded with an engaging Q&A session and a networking opportunity for all participants. Young Energy Europe continues to empower young employees to identify sustainability challenges within their companies and transform them into actionable project proposals, contributing to North Macedonia’s green transition.
