Transport of Equipment for the “Gvozd” Wind Farm Begins
The Electric Power Company of Montenegro (EPCG) has announced the start of equipment transport for the 55 MW “Gvozd” Wind Power Plant, located between Nikšić and Šavnik. The first turbine components are being delivered from the Port of Bar, marking another key milestone in the project’s development.
According to EPCG, all these activities were conducted with minimal traffic disruptions, and once the transport is completed, the road infrastructure will be fully restored to its original state.
Construction of the Gvozd Wind Farm began in late 2024, with Nordex, one of Europe’s leading wind turbine manufacturers, responsible for supplying and installing the turbine equipment. The project is financed through a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
As part of a joint venture with Dornier Suntrace GmbH and Windcraft Engenharia, COLENCO serves as the Owner’s Engineer and Supervision Consultant, ensuring the project’s successful delivery and compliance with the highest technical and environmental standards.
