Feasibility study for the justification for awarding a contract for public-private partnership or possible sale of the Joint Stock Company – TEC (Thermal Power Plant) Negotino

We are proud to announce that the consortium between Colenco Ltd. Skopje (Leader) and Energy Institute Hrvoje Pozar (EIHP Croatia) has officially signed a contract with Joint Stock Company – TEC Negotino on 1st March 2021, for preparation of feasibility study for assessment of the most suitable approach for operation of the thermal power plant Negotino by defining the new technology and the legal transformation of the ownership of the plant (possible sale of PPP). This is one of the most challenging projects, not only in the country, but in the whole Balkan Region, considering that the plant could be transformed from fuel oil to gas-fired power plant. This project could be initial point for starting the process of opening our perspective towards cleaner energy.
The project is financed by own funds and initiated by the Government of North Macedonia .
