We’re thrilled to announce that we held a successful kick-off meeting…
Consortium Energoproject ENTEL Serbia and ÅF Pöyry, represented by AF-Consult Macedonia, presented the results of the Techno-Economic Analysis for Finalisation of the Construction of TPP Kolubara B project in Serbia
The objective of the assignment was review and present all the necessary data and facts about the achieved level of realization of the construction, as well as defining of all the necessary works, financial assessment, obtaining of all necessary permits and approvals and preparing of the investment-technical documentation for finalization of construction of the TPP “Kolubara B” with installed power capacity of about 350 MW. This is the basement for the investment decision and completion of the construction of this facility and the initiation of the procedure for contracting the completion of the construction of the thermal power plant
The presentation was held in the premises of the ELEKTROPRIVREDA Serbia, in Belgrade in front of the Management board, Supervisory board and Ministry of Mining and Energy of Serbia.
Mr. Milorad Grcic, acting director of Elektroprivreda Srbije, said that the analysis showed that the construction of the Kolubara B thermal power plant is feasible. “We have a proven cost-effectiveness of constructing a new unit of Kolubara B Thermal Power Plant in Kalenic, a location between Uba and Veliki Crljeni, better known as the location of a crushing mill and a system for coal homogenization and quality management. The new unit will be built for several years, with the engagement of about 1,000 people under construction, while later, about 220 people will work on the Kolubara B power plant itself”. Mr. Grcic said.
“The technical study shows that we have a justification for continuing to build such a project, starting from the fact that the needs for electricity in Serbia and the world will grow and that we will need new facilities,” The Minister of Energy and Mining, Aleksandar Antic said.
It is expected that the next phase of the project will continue in the beginning of the next year and is consist of the following consultants tasks:
- Preparation of Conceptual Design
- Preliminary Design and Feasibility Study
- Environmental Impact Assessment Study
- Tender preparation:
- Preparation of detail technical specification
- Clarification to bidders
- FIDIC standards implementation
