COLENCO Engaged by EVN Skopje to Support Strategic Development of North Macedonia’s Electricity Distribution System
COLENCO is pleased to announce that we have been engaged by EVN Elektrodistribucija Skopje to support the development of key strategic and analytical studies for the electricity distribution system in North Macedonia.
The assignment will focus on strengthening long-term planning and modernization of the distribution network and includes:
• Preparation of the Ten YearsDevelopment Plan for the Electricity Distribution System (2027–2036)
• Preparation of the Ten YearsLoss Reduction Plan for the period 2027–2029
• Analysis of Development Plans, Tariff Structures, and Grid Connection Requirements in EU Countries
• Integration of battery energy storage systems (BESS)into distribution network planning and operation
• Assessment of flexibility mechanisms
• Alignment of the Annual Plans for Construction of Energy Facilities and Transmission Development Plan with the Distribution System Development Plan.
Through this engagement, COLENCO will provide technical expertise and analytical support to help strengthen the resilience, efficiency, and sustainability of the electricity distribution network, while enabling greater integration of renewable energy sources and modern energy solutions. We look forward to contributing to the continued development of the energy sector in North Macedonia together with EVN Elektrodistribucija Skopje.
