New Contract for wind farm project in Montenegro signed!

The Joint Venture (JV) formed by Dornier Suntrace GmbH Germany, COLENCO Ltd. Skopje and Windcraft Engenharia, Brazil, has officially signed a contract with Green Gvozd doo, Montenegro to serve as the OWNER’S ENGINEER and SUPERVISION CONSULTANT for the Gvozd Wind Farm project in Montenegro. The Client, Green Gvozd doo, is a company established by the laws of Montenegro with its shareholder Elektroprivreda Crne Gore AD Niksic (EPCG) which for the purpose of this project will use a part of a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The aim of this Project is to diversify the power generation portfolio of EPCG, thus aspiring to promote green agenda in the country.

The collaboration with Dornier Suntrace GmbH Germany, COLENCO Ltd. Skopje, and Windcraft Engenharia, Brazil, exemplifies international cooperation and expertise in delivering large-scale renewable projects and the project team is dedicated to moving forward with the implementation phase, ensuring that Gvozd Wind Farm is constructed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with the highest standards and applicable laws in Montenegro as well as rules and standards of the EBRD.

The overall objective is to facilitate timely and effective implementation of the Project by providing assistance to the Client pertaining to the role of Owner’s Engineer, as defined in FIDIC-based and similar kinds of contacts (particularly EBRD forms of contracts) and auxiliary services as defined in the applicable laws of Montenegro. This scope of services will be performed for wind turbine generators, civil balance of plant, electrical balance of plant, grid connection works and procurement of the power transformer.

This ambitious project will add 54.6 MW of renewable energy capacity to Montenegro’s power grid, enabling the generation of at least 141 GWh of clean electricity annually. The Gvozd Wind Farm is a strategic step toward diversifying Montenegro’s energy sources, decreasing reliance on thermal coal, and enhancing energy security.
